Blutes Bar - First Look

The Music sent me down to photograph the first look of Fortitude Valley's newest Bar - Blute's Bar.

Filled with stained woods, neon lights and cosy fittings it's sure to be a regular go to.

Ty and Alice get Married

Northeast Party House at The Brightside

I can't remember when I first discovered Northeast Party House but i've been lucky enough to see them over 5 times and with every show they just get better.

This show was at The Brightside and the intense energy bounced off the walls and sent everyone into a dancing fiesta with a sprinkle of confetti added in at the end. Pure bliss!

Emma-Jayne and Callum get Married

One day working at BlackMilk I got asked by my work pal EJ if i'd like to photograph her wedding. After what seems like the most casual of briefs, shot lists and lead up to a wedding I rocked up to the locations on the day in absolute awe of how picturesque the entire day was and how low key she had managed to keep it!

Anyway my job was SUPER easy because everyone / everything was beautiful and the incredible location of Eagle Farm added a fun twist to photographing the wedding.

Hope you enjoy! xx

Dune Rats at The Triffid

Was lucky enough to head down The Triffid to help cover the Dune Rats tour featuring Gooch Palms and Skeggs (3 of my faves). Show was bloody brilliant and I can't wait to see them all again!

Adventures at Bald Rock Mountain

When i'm not photographing gigs or weddings I like to go outside. Growing up I spent a lot of my time indoors watching TV but recently i've discovered just how peaceful and refreshing it is to be amongst nature.

I'm used to rainforest walks or ocean swims so one weekend I went to Bald Rock Mountain with my friend Dan and my gosh what a beautiful experience it was!

BIGSOUND 2016

By far my favourite time to be in Brisbane is the week of BIGSOUND. The Valley morphs from a somewhat neglected and dodgy area to a place full of hundreds of creative and exciting people pushing the barriers of Music, Design and Networking.

The first experience I had with BIGSOUND I had no idea what it was, who the artists were or why it was such a large event. A couple of days later I left feeling so inspired by what I had witnessed and completely understood what it was all about.

Another reason I find it so exciting is because so many of the Artists use it as a springboard to get into the industry and get huge! I feel so fortunate to have witnessed these small and intimate gigs of DMA's and DD Dumbo years previous only to see them again at Splendour and Laneway performing to massive crowds - who will make it this year?

This years album featured photos of Tiny Little Houses, KUCKA, The Belligerents, Good Boy and many others!
